DAVID FORBES

David started in the music industry 10 years ago, getting his first DJing slot in the Mayfair club in Glasgow when he was only 17. From there he progressed to playing all the major dance clubs in Scotland, Ireland and the North of England, including a successful 2 year residency at Scotland's most infamous club - Hanger 13. David has also DJ'd in countries like Holland, where he played to 14,000 partygoers at the massive Combined Forces raves in the Hague, Switzerland and not forgetting Ibiza.

He released his first 12" in 1994, a collaboration with top Scottish DJ/producer Trevor Rielly who is best known for his top 20 hit "Put Your Hands Up". It was called The Hanger E.P and at the time was getting plays from the likes of Carl Cox and co. From the period of 1994 to 1997 David released over 30 12'' singles, mainly in the rave scene. The majority of those releases getting licensed to compilations all over the world.

He goes on to record for leading Scottish label "Limbo" under the names Propulsion, Void, Optimus and (another collaboration between David and Billy Kiltie, founder of Limbo Records), produce for the likes of the legendary Noom Records in Germany and Telica Records UK under the name "Hal Stucker", where he enjoys the attention of Nick Warren , Christopher Lawrence, Judge Jules and John "00" Fleming. His foreys on Eve Records are also much respected, as his latest release "Questions (Must Be Asked)" proves. His tracks are also regularly featured in all the major compilation titles such as Global Underground, Gatecrasher, Reactivate and Pacha.

His collaborations with leading producer, and now studio partner Mallorca Lee, takes them to write and produce four album tracks for the new sensational "Public Domain" releases for the new Ministry of Sound imprint "23/7" under the names "C-90" and "Karash", as well as Limbo and Eve under the name Scanners the most recent release attracting interest from the likes of Pete Tong and Satoshitomi.

With over thirty releases under his belt and two major label deals in the works David Forbes is proving that his production talents are well worth looking out for.
