TIPPLE
Both Ross Macfarlane and Steven McCreery had been enjoying dance music separately for many years. Ross favouring the legendary Slam duo for their influence and Steven looking to Sasha and Digweed for their spark of inspiration. The intense passion felt by both Glasgow lads eventually brought them together in a city, which even now still supports the growth of dance music.
Their studio debut discoveries came in three versions of classic epic house with a musical content rarely witnessed before in modern dance. Their debut track received unbelievable support from many top names including John Digweed, Paul Oakenfold, Guy Oldhams and Paul Van Dyk.
The success of their debut single (both critically and commercially) led to a second single shortly afterwards the drift. This was a slight departure from their debut in that the sounds were less subtle, however the track became a huge club anthem particularly in the form of its Transa remix.
Since the first two releases have achieved huge success in the U.K. ,as well as through out the world, they have completed a third release as well as a mini album the summation e.p. where they included their first vocal track.
1999/2000 sees tipple develop their club sound into a harder more direct approach, with their focus firmly on the dancefloor.
