GEE MOORE

Gee Moore is a British DJ and producer who has been working in the music industry since 1981 mainly as a singer, guitarist and songwriter, but in the summer of 1996 he needed some time out. So he left his house and four businesses and bought himself a ticket for Ibiza, a place he knew nothing about. Not knowing at the time that he would fall in love with his new found land and never to live in the UK again. Although at the time he was a musician, he turned his hand to work as a dj. This was the best move Gee has ever made.
Within the first week or so he came across a small beach bar, and together with a band of cosmopolitan bar staff and workers set up a small sound system and began to have the time of his life playing wicked tunes up to twelve hours a day to fellow friends and islanders. Labelled as the hardest working dj / beach bum, he continued to play music he liked to the people he liked. Although he tried to keep this island paradise a secret from the media, the Word eventually got out, and Bora Bora has exploded into just about the most famous beach bar in the world. Although a beach bar it has been voted forth best club in the world by Music magazine.

He has just about the most diverse music styles any DJ could offer because his daily 12 hour sets from Bora Bora range from Chill Out through to Garage, house, tec house progressive house, Tecno and Trance. Over the years it has helped secure him with residences in all the major clubs on the Island for promoters such as Sundisential, Clockwork Orange, Extravaganza, Trade, Judge Jules, Zenith and MTV weekly parties at Eden and annual Ibiza Festivals.

This summer 2002, as well as Bora Bora Gee had residences in every major club in Ibiza with the exception only of Amnesia. His diary for this summer consists of Mondays at Pacha for Roger Sanchez, Tuesdays Privilege for Fxxx House, Thursdays Eden for Tonic and El Divino for Salvacion, Fridays Space Terrace for Tonic and Sundays Eden for Judgement Sundays, he also played for Manumission at Privilege and new Ibiza Venue Underground.

He could not resist other gigs away from Ibiza and some how managed the odd gig in Korea, Madrid (for Ministry of Sound), Holland, UK, Norway Summer festival and Venezuela.

In the winter season Gee regularly plays under his own name or as part of the highly successful Bora Bora tours over Europe, Asia and the Americas where he now has a strong fan base.

In summer 2001/2 Gee started writing regularly for DJ, M8 and Ministry Magazine as well as presenting his own show for the award winning Ministry of sound radio including live daily broadcasts from Bora Bora.

After only a year in Ibiza Gee found him self being asked by many record labels, and song writers to produce tracks and remixes for them. The first being Mauro Picotto and Media with a production called All Fat Boys Dancing, this was then taken on by Madonna producer Jelly Bean for his own label in the USA, it was the first of many for Medias very successful label. Then followed React Music, who together with Gee was responsible for the Bora Bora cd collections, they regularly receive very good critical acclaim by the major magazines and the music media. These compilations have often been awarded album of the month, one of which being Mixmag who has also voted Bora Bora number two compilation of the year 1999. Other Signings were FFrr, 48K (Perfecto) and recently for UCMG UK.

Gee has remixed for artists such as Potato Heads and Da Hool.

Gee’s single release’s regularly appear not only on his own mixed compilations but often on other big brand compilations such as Cream, Ministry of sound, Euphoria, Media and other equally high standard mixed CD’s for ZYX, Scandinavian records, and Edel and Gee’s new record label Bora Bora records with his first productions for the label being signed on by Ministry of sound and chill out CD from Portugal.
At present apart from compelling the latest Bora Bora cd, Gee has now completed work on a new compilation for the recently award winning UCMG label under the Destinations series. He has also started work on a new chill out album with all tracks composed and co written with Sade trumpet Man Gordon matthewman,
All this makes DJ Gee Moore, just about the hardest working Beach Bum in the world.
